A product is the record everything else in Declara hangs off: SBOM uploads, matches, alerts, and cases all belong to a product. Creating one is a single form, not a multi-step setup flow.

Steps

1. Go to Products and choose to create a new one.
2. Name it. Use whatever your team calls it internally — this is what shows up in alerts and cases later.
3. Add a description, if you want one. It's optional and has no effect on matching or reporting.
4. Save. The product now exists, with no versions and no components yet.

What you should see

A product page showing zero components and no last-scanned time. That's expected — a product with no SBOM uploaded yet has nothing to match against the advisory feeds.
